music is my third love although I really can't sing to save a soul. SO when i became friends with this talented young Ghanaian artist, I knew i had to share his music with you my lovely readers. had a lil interview with him
me: So i know you as Kofi, what does the world know you as?
Yinks: My Stage name is Kwabi YINKS
me: what inspired you to do music?
Yinks: Had to improve my other talents after losing interest in playing soccer. Music came into the picture after hearing good music from the likes of Nas (IF I RULE THE WORLD to be exact).
me: so when did you start your music career?
Yinks: When I was in senior high school. but i started writing my own songs professionally when I got to South Africa. I started getting into the studios in S.A.
me: so what are your achievements so far? any albums out yet?
Yinks: In the music world it's mostly a structure that upcoming artist follow, releasing two or 3mixtapes before the actual album just to give the musician publicity before hand.so currently am working on my mixtape the Red Carpet featuring various artist.and a music video under construction.
me: what local or/and international artists have you featured on your mixtape?
Yinks: Internationally, i have featured Londoun watson in USA,and locally, Lucan Rowand and 2nyce all from South Africa. Am yet to feature some artist from my home country, Ghana, as well. In the future however, i would like to work with Rick Ross,Wale,Damian Marley,Ashanti,Ciara,Trina and locally Samini,L-tido,Bongz,Banky W and K.O of teargas.
me: any publishing contracts so far?
Yinks: I have secured a publishing contract with sheer publishing.
