LAW BANQUET: MORE PICS

Men in suits:

And shoes which got me completely speechless:

My very stunning friend, Unathi:

Law Banquet :)

So I got the chance to attend the most amazing event on campus, the law banquet. As I said earlier in my first post, I had gotten a red dress: my main intentions were to take a couple of pics and post but when i got there, I got too overwhelmed by the shoes, shift dresses and stunning people around me, I could not even focus on me!
The banquet was just fashionably splendid, I loved it!

INTRODUCING MY LOVE FOR THE COLOUR RED!

I LOVE RED! yes i said it!
So last year I got invited to the Fort Hare Law Banquet and i wore red. This year, I got invited again so being the fashion enthusiast that I am, I went window shopping for possible options. I had in mind a long flowly, purple dress which should also be within my student budget, but just couldnt get anything suitable. But before I gave up, I went into one last shop and as soon as I walked in,I saw a stunning long red dress hanging at the back. I knew then and there that the dress was made for me, a gift sent from heaven.
Am so tempted to post pics but you will all have to wait till after the banquet tonight to see the pics. Till then my dolls, stay fashionable! :)

Ayikai Couture (Pt1)

Am very excited about writing about this label because I have a passion for African patterns and these are all the rage in the Ayikai Couture label. Am not going further today, but just to introduce the label, here are some of this month's designs from Ayikai Couture which are making me go nuts :
I love this gorgeous maxi dress! stunning!

love love love this splash of colours!

Yes Lord!

One of my fav designs from the label!
I had to stop myself, I could go on and on just posting pictures of my favourites. Honestly, I love everything this label has to offer! The label's new range called "walked outta heaven" offers beautiful African print shoes, clutches and handmade studs.
Part 2 of my post on Ayikai Couture will be about a short interview with the lady behind the label, what the future plans are for the label and how to access it :-)

Quick Hair Styles: THE UPDO!

Some times, we get in a hurry and styling our hair becomes an issue. I have found the updo hairstyle to be very feminine, elegant and very sexy when teamed with red lips.

But mastering the updo with my short African hair is a major problem so I resorted to youtube and found two videos which are great tutorials on how to do the retro bun and the bun with socks. Unfortunately, am still very new at this so I had a lot of difficulties posting the videos.
The first video is crazily funny but is a great tutorial on how to make a retro bun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOgg2CS1auA
The next video though is my fav since it is more suitable for very African hair like mine, not very long but hard to maintain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT_u7XmWC7E&feature=related

Am now going to try these and hopefully rock it!
xoxo... see u when I rock it! :-)
