I made these brown earrings over the weekend. And yes, I am proud of me!
I love unique things so i have decided to make a few of my own accessories.
I've had a lot of friends ask me how I made these so today I am going to take you through the steps on how to make your own earrings.
What you need:
A pair of buttons (these you will find in any fabric shop)
Super glue ( I got mine from spar)
A pair of butterflies (from any jewelry shop)
I got the back from a jewelry shop in Hemmingways mall
Method:
Carefully cut off the back of the button with a knife or a strong pair of scissors
Squeeze a little glue onto the back of the button
Place the back on the super glue, add a little more super glue and leave it to dry for about an hour and your earrings are ready to be worn! :-)
I got the ones above from a friend last year, and they are now my second favourite!
Try making yours, its fun and doesn't take a lot of time. Its cheaper! :-)

THE WILD :-)
One of the main reasons why I watch Jerseylicious is because I have one thing in common with Olivia and Tracey! Not the big hair, not the make-up, but the love of leopard prints! Yes LEOPARD prints.
Their never ending feud with each other aside, those girl's have soo much in common though but enough about them. I love the way leopard prints bring out the animal side of a woamn out! Its sexy, daring and just stunning! I definately need a leopard print dress!

Colour Blocking
Colour blocking is combining different colours which compliment each other.
Colour blocking is fun and when done properly, creates really good effects!
It is definately a trend for this spring.
I recently read an article on Vogue UK [online] on how to colour block and what colours compliment each other and I will share what I have learnt with you :)

Complimentary colours
- Team colours from the same family together for a harmonious look - think bright pinks with vivid fuchsias, turquoise with royal blue
- Keep warmer tones like orange and red together
- Go for a neutral-toned shoe to keep it simple
Mix it up
- Work regal purples in with contrasting, fiery oranges
- Try lime green with melon or rosebud pink for a pleasantly jarring combination
- Go to town on the look with a loud, contrasting shoe or handbag
A few pics on how to colour block:
p.s. As a personal favourite, I love the combination of pink and red! :P
Hot & Cheap: New Peep Toe
I am on the hunt for new shoes since I recently started revamping my shoe collections.
I have never been a big fun of peep toe shoes though so when I went to Edgars this weekend to buy new shoes for a friend's engagement, I never bothered looking to the peep toe section.
I stumbled across these beautiful Free 2bu snake skin peep toes and I knew we are meant to be together!
They are very comfortable, I love the colour and i got them for a R199 which was a great price for a student budget!

Just Unique!
I was walking out from a lecture yesterday when something unique caught my eyes!
I make some of my own earrings, sure, but shoes? I dnt think i can....well after this, i might just give it a try!... well, maybe!
Wow! I saw a friend wearing these and i was just amazed! I ask where she got those and she answered saying she made them herself.
Very artistic and unique i think.
Now her complete outfit.
You go friend!
I need a few lessons from you!

Good Shoes! Yes Lawd!
Dear Cosmo SA, you have just fuelled up my new love for good, sexy, shoes! Yes you did!
Shoes are definately a Girl's porn!
I bought the October Cosmo edition and whilst paging through, I noticed a few sealed pages, all dedicated to shoes. I opened the seal and I was completely consumed by how stunning the shoes were. Not that i can afford most of these shoes but they just help me know what i really need in life and to work towards getting them one day. Well if I do show you the pictures, that will ruin the joy wouldn't it?
So I urge all the ladies to purchase the october edition of Cosmopotitan SA.
This is how the cover page looks like with the ever so stunning Candice Boucher:
And this is the cover page for the shoe pages:
Now ladies, run along cos ya'll definately need to lay your hands on this edition of cosmo.
Still staring at the shoes. Yes laud! One day!

The yays of this season....
Its that time of the year again when most of us are eagerly looking for comfortable shoes, shorts, pants and dresses to strut our stuff in. The winter boots, jerseys, trench coats, jeans and scarves are now being packed away but finding the perfect items for spring is now becoming an issue. I was paging through the pages of the August Woolworth catalogue, when I came across these stunning summer finds; the '70s inspired wedges, the waisted sundress, the ohhh so hott chino shorts and the cropped pants. Yes lawd! Am sorted.
I have added the links to the page from which I found these amazing items:
http://www.woolworths.co.za/store/browse/category.jsp?categoryId=cat580036
These are summer must haves!
